We have just heard that during the 2014/2015 academic year the STV Children's Appeal was delighted to partner YPI Scotland and has chosen ECS as one of the 10 charities which it will support this year. This means that the £3000 won by the girls from Penicuik High School will come from the STV Children's Appeal. We are extremely grateful to all concerned."

A team of girls from Penicuik High School has won an award for the ECS from the Philanthropic Youth Initiative sponsored by The Wood Trust. The team of 6 had to research a charity of their choice, then deliver a presentation based on their findings to a panel of external judges. Their prize was to win for the ECS the sum of £3000 which is a tremendous boost to the ECS and we are most grateful to the girls, the school and The Wood Trust
